One time on the way to the Mentawai Islands, I landed in Jakarta and I thought I had plenty of time to catch the next flight because it was a two hour layover. I got off the plane and grabbed my stuff, me and my friends walked outside, where we were supposed to take a bus to the other side of the airport. The first two buses were too full for us to get onto, but we finally made it onto the third bus. After getting on the bus we sat in traffic for one hour and barely moved, after that long we started to panic a little because our flight was in thirty minutes, so we asked to be let off the bus and started running down the street with our board bags and all our luggage. When we finally got to the terminal, after running for 2 miles, it was to late and we were stuck in the airport for the night. After a whole night and having to buy another plane ticket I finally got to surf perfection. As frustrating as it was, it is funny to look back on.
